Therapy

Aphasia

Aphasia is an acquired disorder of the entire language system. There are problems understanding spoken and/or written language and there might be difficulties in reading and writing. After a detailed diagnosis the speech therapist develops an individual therapy plan for each patient.

The aim is to restore independent communication skills in everyday life in the best possible way.

Dysarthria

Dysarthria leads to a loss of execution and control of speech movements. The intelligibility is impaired. After a detailed examination of the affected areas (articulation, voice, breathing), specific foci can be set in the therapy.

The aim is to optimize the coordination of articulation, voice, and breathing in order to achieve easy-to-understand speech.

Facial nerve paresis

Facial nerve paresis leads to a dysfunction of the facial nerve and thus paralyzes the facial muscles in particular. Different methods stimulate the nerve and support thereby the recovery of these muscles.
