Swallowing disorders commonly generate substantial impairment in quality of life. Numerous patients suffering from neurologic diseases for instance stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and multiple sclerosis (MS), are more or less severely affected by swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).
